Phobjikha Valley (Gangtey Valley)
Phobjikha Valley, often referred to as Gangteng Valley is a surreal glaciated valley positioned in proximity to the WangduePhodrang town in central Bhutan. This Valley is truly famed for its scenic beauty and well-known cultural landmarks that envelop Gangteng Monastery, which marks as a critical centre of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism culture.
Additionally, Phobjikha also makes a wildlife hotspot, exclusively for black-necked cranes that migrate from the Tibetan Plateau. Therefore, the valley is idyllic for birdwatchers to fulfill their want of sighting birds as well. This valley is a high-elevated wetland, tucked at approximately 3,000 meters and environs mountains dotted with mesmerizing views of the farmhouses.
