Dochula Pass
Dochula Pass is a glorious mountain pass, nested amidst the snow-mantled Himalayas of the kingdom of Bhutan. Perched at a soaring elevation of around 3,100 meters leads to offer mesmeric panoramic vistas of the surrounding Himalayan range. The pass is celebrated for its 108 memorial chortens, otherwise known as ‘DrukWangyal Chortens’, that were built to commemorate the lives of Bhutanese soldiers.
The site also abodes the DrukWangyal Lhakhang shrine, which highly adds to the place’s spiritual significance and profound tranquility and serenity. In a nutshell, Dochula Pass reflects the rich culture and historical essence of the kingdom, due to which the pass draws numerous visitors to pay tribute, to immerse in the natural ambiance and to fulfill their photographic want.
Additionally, Dochula Pass becomes an utmost delight particularly during the winter season, as the clear blue skies and cozy cold air just enhances its overall charm.
