Lhuentse Dzong
Lhuentse Dzong is a revered Buddhist monastery and fortress nested in the KuriChhu Valley of Lhuentse District in eastern Bhutan. The Lhuntse Dzong, built in 1543, was the work of KuengaWanpo, the son of Pema Lingpa and has undergone many renovations in the past due to the occurrence of natural calamities.
This Dzong makes itself as one of the most significant tourist destinations in Lhuentse due to its rich amalgamation of history and intricate architectural details. The locals take huge pride in residing in the same district as this Dzong and fondly talk about this monastery with the outsiders.
The Lhuntse Dzong is a cluster of the five significant temples and houses many sacred relics, including the bronze statue of Tshepamey.
